Stop doing extra work for free.
Turn an out-of-scope client request into a price, a change of delivery date, and a recorded approval, before the work starts.
ScopeLock is being built and is not available yet. The three tools below are finished, free, and need no account. There is a list at the bottom of this page if you want to know when the rest exists.
Does your contract let you charge for extra work?
Paste your scope of work, or open the file, and get a straight answer on twelve points with the wording to fix whatever is missing. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
What did the last project actually pay?
Put in the price you quoted and the hours you were not paid for. See your real hourly rate and what it did to your margin.
Or start from one that already covers all twelve
A model scope of work with every clause in place, written to be copied and edited rather than admired.
The thing that keeps happening
A client asks for one more thing. It sounds small, nobody writes down what it costs, the work gets done. Two months later the same client says it was always part of the project, and the only record of the conversation is a chat message that reads as if you agreed.
The argument is never really about the work. It is about the fact that nothing was decided in writing before the work started.
What ScopeLock will do
One job, done properly: anything outside the agreed scope becomes an approved change before anyone begins it.
- A project starts from the scope you actually agreed, with the deliverables counted.
- A new request becomes a change with a price and a number of days attached.
- The client opens a link, sees the cost and the new delivery date, and approves or declines. No account, no software to learn.
- Every version is kept, so nobody can edit an old request and call it the approved one.
- At the end, the project has a ledger: original value, approved changes, time added by changes, time added by waiting on the client.
It will not try to be your project manager, your invoicing, or your CRM. Those exist and are better at it.
What would it be worth?
Nothing here is for sale and there is nothing to buy. Picking one tells me what to build and what to charge, which is the entire reason this page exists.
is also a real answer, and more useful than silence.
Tell me when it exists
One email when there is something to use, and nothing else. The free tools stay free either way.
